Around 36 hours of study spread over several months depending on the optional unit choices, delivered via blended learning.
Additional time is required for assignments, projects etc. Study materials will be accessed online using the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Classes are held on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings with face to face workshops in the college approximately every third week and one twilight session.
Each unit is separately assessed using a variety of assessment methods. These include practical skills assessments, short presentations, written reports and briefing notes.
The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Diploma in Learning and Development Practice is an extension of the Certificate in Learning & Development Practice. It will further develop your knowledge and practical skills with the confidence and behaviours to be an effective HR practitioner.
The Diploma is designed for learning and development professionsla, including line managers, assistants and administrative staff who want to enhance their practical skills. It would also be appropriate for people who are moving into a learning and development role or for operational managers who are making the transfer from HR management.
On successful completion of the programme, candidates receive the CIPD Diploma in Learning and Development Practice. The Diploma is an an equivalent level to SCQF 6.

• Undertaking a Learning Needs Analysis(3LDN)
• Delivering Learning and Development Activities(3DEL)
• Evaluating Learning and Development Activities(3ELD)
