Southland Community Challenge 2026

We are excited to invite you to be part of something special—the Southland Community Challenge, running from January 12th to March 8th, 2026. This initiative is about bringing our entire community together to support local charities through fun, fitness, and generosity.

2026 Charities:
- Hospice Southland
- The Grace Street Project
- Kiwi Harvest Southland

The 2026 challenge will culminate with 11 local Firefighters and 1 Critical Care Paramedic are carrying a Stokes Basket from Oreti Beach to Queens Park during the Wansley’s Cycles Surf to City event. The basket’s weight will start at 100kg and increase 1kg for every $1000 donated — up to a maximum of 200kg —making it a true test of community spirit!
