Raw Readings is an evening dedicated to literature in its living form – authentic, in-progress, exploratory, or refined yet still full of presence. It is a space where rough edges are welcome, experimentation is encouraged, and the focus rests on the vibrant exchange between text and audience.

Die Bäckerei’s Writers’ Open Mic celebrates contemporary writing in all its shapes and styles. Poetry, short fiction, novel excerpts, essays, spoken word, experimental texts – all forms of writing are welcome. The event offers an inclusive stage for authors to share their work, whether polished, freshly drafted, or still finding its way.

English is the suggested reading language to keep the evening accessible for our international audience, but readings in German are equally welcome.

Everyone is warmly invited to participate – whether you want to read or simply listen.
