On Sunday, June 28, St. Margaret’s will celebrate Pride Sunday during the 10:00 AM Eucharist the day after the Baton Rouge Pride Festival taking place downtown at the River Center on Saturday, June 27.

As part of the liturgy, we are honored to offer Our Wildest Imagining, a moving musical work by composer Dominick DiOrio created in honor of Bishop Gene Robinson, the first openly gay bishop in the Episcopal Church and in the worldwide Anglican Communion (2003). The piece weaves together words and reflections from Bishop Robinson’s life and ministry and celebrates God’s boundless love, dignity, and welcome for all people.

At St. Margaret’s, we give thanks for the diversity of God’s people and for the ongoing work of building a church where all know they are loved, welcomed, and cherished.
