In this Circle, you will gently move, breathe and ground your way back into your body, exploring mindful yoga, breathwork and simple practices that help you tune in to what your body is telling you. No previous yoga or meditation experience required. Everyone is welcome. All abilities are supported. Come as you are and get curious about what your body knows. We'll also dive into some friendly nervous system psychoeducation, giving you practical tools to find your calm again. Through intentional and playful movement and reflection, you'll leave feeling more attuned to your body and it's wisdom.
The Women's Wellness Circle Barrie Innisfil welcomes Vanessa Robertson 🙏
Vanessa is a Registered Psychotherapist (qualifying) and yoga instructor whose journey with somatic began decades ago. Vanessa spent 25 yrs in corporate sales- pushing through stress and physical pain until burnout struck twice. Despite chronic injuries and a persistent cough, she continuously override her body's signals, disconnected from its wisdom.
At 47, during the pandemic, Vanessa was downsized- a turning point towards authentic healing. She returned to university, earning a Master's to become a Registered Psychotherapist. Vanessa's integrative, trauma-trained approach weaves together somatic, Holistic practices with science-based modalities.
Vanessa invites us into another exploration of how trauma lives in the body and how mindful, embodied movement can help us gently come home to ourselves.
