Stability & Security: Creating Strong Personal & Community Foundations

Financial literacy is more than knowledge—it’s a pathway to safety, stability, and long-term independence. Through a collaborative partnership with Coburn Place, the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana, CFA Society Indianapolis, and Women’s Investment Network (WIN), this program invests directly in women’s economic security and future opportunity.

This panel event will feature expert speakers, followed by networking, food, and beverages, creating space for both learning and connection. In addition to the program, we will be collecting donations in support of Coburn Academy, an initiative of Coburn Place Safe Haven.

Coburn Place provides compassionate, trauma-informed support and safe housing for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Through Coburn Academy, participants build critical life and career skills with programming focused on financial literacy, job readiness, entrepreneurship, and confidence building—tools that empower survivors to achieve lasting self-sufficiency.

Attendees are encouraged to bring donations to support the Coburn Academy program closet. Most-needed items include:

• Clipboards
• Pens
• Highlighters
• Binders, tab dividers, and page protectors
• Journals
• Calculators
• Sticky notesThese contributions directly support program participants as they engage in coursework, financial training, and career development.
