There is a Silver Sign above this door listing some of the businesses inside the Factory Arts District-FAD building. There is a ground level parking lot directly across from this door. GAI@FAD is halfway between Centerpoint Brewery and Fowling Warehouse.In this workshop our instructor/s will guide you through studio basics in safety and process and then give a demonstration on the hot glass furnace-worked piece you will be making. You will then have the opportunity to gather molten glass from a 2100-degree furnace. You will get to choose your colors and sculpt molten glass into a beautiful and unique creation of your own. Your creation will have to cool down slowly overnight and will be available to pick up a couple of days later. The studio can get hot, so please dress accordingly. T-shirts and blue jeans work well, along with closed toed shoes. No synthetic clothing!! NO leggings!! If you have a personal pair of safety glasses or prescription glasses, please bring them. Otherwise, we have some to lend out in the studio. You must be 10 years of age or older to participate.Lite weight cotton- T-shirts or button down cotton shirts and blue jeans or cotton shorts work well. Wear tennis shoes or walking shoes.
