Speaking Your Language: A Case for Language Access in Grant Writing
Join LUNA Language Services and Hedges & Associates for a morning dedicated to learning how to effectively serve more local global community members through the utilization of language access resources. This workshop is designed for experienced grant writers and program leaders to learn how to integrate language access resources into their programs, budgets, and grant proposals.
LUNA Language Services will teach you how to make the business case for serving more multi-lingual communities, and educate you on the language resources available to you and how to budget for them. Hedges and Associates will bring their background of strategic planning and grant writing to the table to give you high-level tips on how to make your grant proposals more successful, including suggestions on funders that might be interested in organizations that intentionally serve diverse cultural communities!
Attendees are encouraged to bring specific questions about proposals that they are working on, or problems that they are trying to solve in their programming where language access is a challenge, so that all four speakers can weigh in on potential solutions.
This event will be held on Thursday, November 1st from 8:00 am - 10:00 am at the LUNA Language Services office. Light breakfast and coffee will be provided.
We have limited spots available for this workshop so please register ASAP!
