Touch is one of our earliest forms of communication, yet many adults go through life experiencing profound touch deprivation and loneliness. Research shows that safe, consensual human touch can influence our nervous system, reduce stress, strengthen connection, and support emotional well-being.
In this interactive workshop, Mental Health Skills Coach and certified Cuddlist Practitioner Hannah Kassan explores the science behind therapeutic touch, what happens in the brain and body when we feel safe, and why the same touch can be comforting to one person while overwhelming to another.
Participants will learn about nervous system regulation, the role of consent in creating safety, and practical ways to cultivate healthier, more intentional relationships with themselves and others.
