Open Mic Night: for Poetry, Spoken Word, Rap, Storytelling

Welcome to our Open Mic Night! Come on out for a night of community, expression, unity, artistry, raw performances, and solidarity through sharing the arts of poetry, spoken word, rap, and/or storytelling. Whether you're a seasoned performer or a first-timer, this is a chance to share your voice and connect with the community.

We encourage you to bring something of your own to bring to the mic, or even a work of someone else's voice you'd like to uplift to the mic.

The event will be held at 525 S Meridian St ste 1c, the location of our generous host, Indy's own Inspire Music Collective. This event is also hosted by Indy's The Healing Cave, and K.C. our M.C.

AND! Be prepared, if you dare, to buy some snacks and goods provided by local Indy artisans!

BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR AN EMAIL/UPDATE THAT DESCRIBES WHERE TO FIND THE FREE PARKING LOT!

We hope you mark your calendars, because we would love an opportunity to experience your talents and art, support other local artists together, and experience community with you!

Info: MC Sunshine will call the first round of people, one at a time, to present their art to the mic and the people. We will get as many folks up there within the 45 minutes as possible. Each person has the mic all to themself during the piece.

Info: Intermission/break during which no one presents. People can use bathrooms, buy food/beverages/items, smoke outside, chat, and chill.

Info: MC Sunshine will call the second round of people, one at a time, to present their art to the mic and the people. We will get as many folks up there within the 45 minutes as possible. Each person has the mic all to themself during the piece.

Info: Intermission/break during which no one presents. People can use bathrooms, buy food/beverages/items, smoke outside, chat, and chill.

Info: MC Sunshine will call the third and final round of people, one at a time, to present their art to the mic and the people. We will get as many folks up there within the 30 (ish) minutes as possible. Each person has the mic all to themself during the piece.
