Freetown Village 12th Annual Making a Difference Awards Dinner

We take pride in shining light on those who are making a difference in our community. Join us, as we recognize four local individuals who are impacting change in Indianapolis and beyond!

• Dr. Carolyn Gentle-Genitty, a trailblazing academic and inaugural Dean of Founder’s College at Butler University, who has championed educational access and social work reform.
• Claunick Duronville, a rising leader in law and community engagement with Quarles & Brady, using his legal acumen to amplify the voices of marginalized communities.
• Robin Winston, a trailblazing business and political strategist who became the first Black chair of a major political party in Indiana, bringing decades of experience in public outreach, government relations, and strategic leadership.
• Faith McKinney, an author and visibility expert whose inspiring journey has empowered countless individuals to embrace their voice and purpose.

We invite you to join us in celebrating our honorees on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025 at the Madam Walker Legacy Center Ballroom.

Doors open 6:00 p.m., light refreshments.

Program will begin at 6:30 p.m.

No, registered attendees will be checked in at the registration table.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Free parking is available at the Madam Walker Legacy Center, 617 Indiana Avenue. Parking lot is just west of the front entrance of the building.
