By providing doula-level education, we strive to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates.Black women are up to 3 times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes compared to white women. The mortality rate for Black infants is nearly twice that of white infants in our region. The core of the program is building a community and safe space for men/fathers for real time learning opportunities that will increase the understanding of how and why systemic racism affects unborn Black children.
