Fairbanks Burn Center, and plastic surgeons Fatih Zor, M.D. and Sunnie Wong, M.D., Ph.D.The symposium will feature expert speakers from multiple specialties such as trauma, palliative care, Ph*rm*cy, EMS, Emergency Response Planning and the nursing team at Eskenazi Health. A breakout session with the Eskenazi Health Rehabilitation Services team will focus on innovative positioning strategies, scar goniometry, and burn edema management. Additionally, a panel of burn survivors will join to share their stories of recovery.******This activity is jointly provided by the Richard M. Fairbanks Burn Center and the University of Southern Indiana Center for Health Professions Lifelong Learning. In support of improving patient care, the University of Southern Indiana Center for Health Professions Lifelong Learning is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Ph*rm*cy Education (ACPE), the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) approved Continuing Education (ACE) program to provide continuing education for the health care team. Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME and Self-Assessment requirement(s) of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program.
