Intro to TAI CHI @THOY
Learn and follow the ancient, graceful movements of Tai Chi, a gentle, low impact workout perfected in China over 2,500 years ago. We begin with gentle stretching and joint loosening exercises to increase bio-energy and to support the functioning of our major organs. From there, we do qigong to release stress from both the body and mind, and we then do one of a series of exercises that teach us how to move correctly within the constraints of Tai Chi, which we then apply when we practice our Tai Chi form. This specially designed class incorporates both mind and body, and it increases your energy and strengthens your balance and immune system while at the same time decreasing stress. It is suitable for people of all ages.
