Step into the Independence Public Library… if you dare! 👻
This Halloween season, our three-story library transforms into a family-friendly haunted house filled with spine-tingling science, terrifying technology, eerie engineering, astonishing art, and mysterious math.
Armed with your Monster Hunter Guide, on Tuesday, October 14, you’ll journey through each spooky STEAM station, collecting stamps as you outwit the Mad Chemist, dodge the Phantom of the Screens, and face the Catapulting Jack-O-Lantern, battle the Black Lantern, and defeat the Zombie of Probability. Conquer all five challenges, and you’ll unlock the way out of the haunted library, earning an eerie reward!
Perfect for primary school-aged children and their adults, this event blends frightful fun with hands-on learning, using our craft, high-tech tools, and just a pinch of Halloween magic. We haven't forgotten the adults! Join us in the meeting room at 6:00 for "Lore at the Library," where we'll discuss vampires. This event is replacing our annual Ghost Stories in the Park event.
