Our annual Save the Florida Panther Day Celebration is back again!  Enjoy a day of wildlife exhibits, guided walks, swamp buggy tours, archery, kid's fishing, food, and more at the Refuge’s Roth Work Center.

This is a Free Event and does not require registration for General Admission.

Eventbrite reservations for the swamp buggy rides and swamp walks are SOLD OUT! We will also have two additional swamp buggy tours available the day of the event on a first-come, first-served basis. As these tours are based on availability, we recommend arriving early. See our agenda below for time slotted activities.

Early Bird Hike ? (no registration required)
8:00 AM - 9:00 AM
Join photographer and birding enthusiast Gordon McLaughlin on an early morning hike in the Refuge.

Two Swamp Walks through Fakahatchee Strand (registration required - SOLD OUT!)
9:10 AM - 12:45 PM
Join native plant experts on a wet walk through the Fakahatchee Strand. Prepare to get feet and legs wet-wear close-toed shoes, long pants and hat. Bring water, sunscreen bug spray, and dry clothes for after the walk!

Six Swamp Buggy Tours (Two first come, first serve!)
9:10 AM - 12:45 PM
Join us on a swamp buggy tour through forested wetlands on the Refuge. Guides will highlight wildlife and vegetation seen along the drive; and discuss ongoing management activities. Plan to ride for 2 miles and bring water, a hat, sunscreen, and wear close-toed shoes!
