On this two and a half hour walk, led by a CREW volunteer, you'll discover an essential part of the Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed (CREW)-one of the last wildlife corridors that stretches into the Everglades- and see firsthand local plants and animals of all shapes and sizes. Explore trails with a knowledgeable guide that you can continue to take advantage of long after your guided walk is over. The Cypress Dome Trails include Cypress Swamps, Pine Uplands, Seasonal Marshes, Popash Sloughs, Oak Hammocks, and more!Time: 9:00am - 11:30am Please arrive a little early, so that everyone is set to start at 9 AM.Distance &amp; Difficulty: ~3 miles at a leisurely pace across mostly level but unpaved ground, Difficulty: 2 / 5, may be some muddy but mostly avoidable areas on the trail.What to Wear and Bring:Dress appropriately. We suggest: long pants, durable close-toed shoes, and hat.Wear or bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and bug spray.Hiking accessories, like walking stick, binoculars, camera equipment, flora and fauna guide books are optional but welcome.Bring plenty of water or re-hydration drink &amp; snacks.Rain or Shine we'll be there.
