Pit Fire

Pit Fire Workshop

$35–$55/person. Ages 10–13 with an adult or ages 14+. All levels welcome.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll experience the exciting and unpredictable art of pit firing. Using natural materials and combustibles, you’ll decorate a vessel and then add it into the communal fire, where smoke, minerals, and flame will leave unique and unrepeatable surface markings.



Option One — $35

Bring your own bisque-fired vessel to decorate with the provided surface materials before adding it to the pit fire.



Option Two — $55

Choose from a selection of pre-made, bisqued vessels. Decorate your piece and then add it to the communal pit fire.



Every piece emerges from the fire transformed, carrying its own story of earth and flame.
