Certified Angler Instructor Training

Fishing is one of the TOP 5 programs for both Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA Youth! 88% of anglers learned to fish before they were 12 years old. Over 2 million Scouts BSA Youth have earned the Fishing merit badge.

What you'll learn...
When you become a Certified Angler Instructor with Scouting America, you’ll have the knowledge it takes to run fishing or fly fishing program at the council, district, or unit level. This is a great asset for your unit!

This is also a MERIT BADGE opportunity for Scouts BSA youth under the age of 15. Join us and you can earn the Fishing and Fly Fishing merit badges this weekend.

For Scouts ages 15 and up, they can become Certified Anglers right alongside the adults!
