Carmina Burana concert
The largest choir in the area, Ilkley Choral Society with Otley Choral Society, is preparing to perform a breathtaking concert in the town this coming season.
Karl Orff’s ‘Carmina Burana’ will use 120 voices, along with 2 pianos and a range of professionally played percussion instruments, promising to capture a range of moods from the joy of Spring to the rowdiness of a tavern.
This well-known work, to be performed on 15th November at St. Margaret’s Church, is a dramatic and full-blooded 20th-century classic.
Also featuring "Spring" from Haydns Seasons - the link between the two pieces of music will be explained!
