What You’ll Do
Explore upcycling ideas — from resizing garments to transforming them into new items

Turn old textiles into clothing using unwanted curtains, bedding or fabric you already own

Alter garments for a better fit using simple sewing techniques

Repurpose clothing creatively (jeans into a skirt, shirts into bags, and more)

Add decorative touches like appliqué or hand embroidery

Bring your ideas to life using a sewing machine or hand‑stitching

Melinda will guide you step‑by‑step with friendly support and practical demonstrations throughout the afternoon.



This Workshop Is Perfect For
Complete beginners (embellishing is ideal; resizing may be trickier with no sewing experience)

People with a little sewing experience

Anyone who loves creative reuse and sustainable making

Those who enjoy experimenting with textiles and design

You’ll leave with a beautifully reimagined garment or accessory — plus the confidence to keep upcycling at home.

? Time: 1pm – 4pm (with a little flexibility at the end)
☕ Arrival: From 12:30pm for a warm welcome and a cuppa
