Together We Lift events are mental health meet ups which encourage people to come together to lift weights and be open about mental health. They are totally non-for-profit fundraising events in order to raise money and awareness for local mental health charities of the host venue.

The event in Ilkeston on Sunday 12th January will be made up of four core events and finish on our main event which is the team deadlift bar.

These events are open to ALL ABILITIES. When signing up you get asked for your current personal bests and if you haven't lifted that implement you simply put 0kg. We then filter all athletes into equal ability groups to ensure the event coaches know where to pitch their coaching to and what weights to have ready at the event station.

The four core event stations for this events are:

Event Station 1 – Axle Deadlift

Event Station 2 – Log Press

Event Station 3 – Farmers & Yoke

Event Station 4 – Sandbag to shoulder.

Main Events ALFitness Team Deadlift Bar

You will get 40-50 minutes per event stations to work in your group of equal ability lifters to work with your coaches to improve your technique and work to a new personal best if this is what you want from this time.

Our coaches are highly decorated in strongman / strongwoman have volunteered their time to support this event and ensure the day runs smoothly :-)
