# Event Details - **Event Name**: Christmas Acrylic Pouring - **Event Start and End Date**: Thu, 20 Nov, 2025 at 01:30 pm – Thu, 20 Nov, 2025 at 04:30 pm - **Event Description**: The Workshop Do you fancy making homemade Christmas Presents for special people in your life? If yes, this could be just the workshop for you! Go home with 2 unique, beautiful canvases to give away or keep for yourself! Your tutor, Paola, is looking forward to meeting you and says: “The workshop will cover a few pouring techniques so you can familiarise yourself with this expressive painting technique. There will be guidance, support and, most importantly, much encouragement to move beyond the “white canvas” block and the “don’t make a mess” fear. I will also give you advice and suggestions about the choice and combination of colours to encourage you to get started. The pouring technique is an empowering, effective self-expression medium with endless possibilities that doesn’t require any previous painting experience, just an open mind and a willingness to learn it while having fun! I will bring a hair dryer because it is a very useful tool to demonstrate an additional style/technique to create unique fluid art. I will also bring wooden skewers to use as “pencils” to draw patterns on the wet paint. Aluminium trays will be provided to carry home your finished, but still wet painting. (Please bear in mind, the painting will need about three days to fully dry and you need to take it away flat). By the end of the workshop you will have gained much in terms of learning, wellbeing, self-confidence, socialising with other like-minded crafters and a keen interest in being creative.” What to bring? Anticipation to enjoy the whole experience! Specific to this workshop: Make sure you wear something casual: short sleeves tops/t-shirts are better. Please tie up long hair. If you have a spare apron, please bring it with you. Reading glasses if you need them. What skills are needed? This pouring technique is a very spontaneous, expressive technique, so no previous experience is necessary. It is not fiddly but requires 'soft hand movements' to gently tip your canvas (whilst joyfully watching all your colourful paints moving over the surface!) Don't worry about paint on your hands, protective gloves and wipes will be provided. What are the timings? This is an exciting afternoon running from 1.30pm to 4.30pm ... allowing up to 3 hours will ensure time for much fun and creativity! Our purple front door will be open from 1pm so we can welcome you in, you can get to meet Paola and fellow crafters and grab a cuppa before you start. How many places are available? To ensure the quality of your personal experience, the total group size is limited to 15. Book early not to miss out! What is the cost? £40 + 86p card booking fee. This includes: canvas, good quality acrylic paints, plastic cups, plastic spoons, skewers, gloves and protective plastic for your clothes, wipes and refreshments (excluding lunch). We will be providing drinks and biscuits throughout the morning. - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/ilkeston/christmas-acrylic-pouring/200029177105054 - **Event Categories**: workshops, art, fine-arts, christmas, meetups - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 5 ## Ticket Details ## Event venue details - **city**: Ilkeston - **state**: EN - **country**: United Kingdom - **location**: 1 Corporation Road, DE7 4AS Ilkeston, United Kingdom - **lat**: 52.95819 - **long**: -1.29595 - **full address**: 1 Corporation Road, DE7 4AS Ilkeston, United Kingdom, Ilkeston, United Kingdom ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: Christmas Acrylic Pouring - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events1/banners/2a03fc6c6e985fd08a5a57b2136d480c08c042fee7808e26836c3062c94cbcc8-rimg-w1041-h1181-dcead7a8-gmir?v=1763502894 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is Christmas Acrylic Pouring being held? - **A:** Christmas Acrylic Pouring takes place on Thu, 20 Nov, 2025 at 01:30 pm to Thu, 20 Nov, 2025 at 04:30 pm at 1 Corporation Road, DE7 4AS Ilkeston, United Kingdom, Ilkeston, United Kingdom. - **Q**: Who is organizing Christmas Acrylic Pouring? - **A:** Christmas Acrylic Pouring is organized by Our Crafty Place. - **Q**: Who is this event for?
