Your tutor, Jane, is excited to welcome you to this relaxing and inspiring introduction to Modern Calligraphy!
She says:
“Join me for this Beginners Modern Calligraphy workshop. All equipment is provided so you can learn how to hold and use the pen and nibs confidently. We’ll work with ink, metallic paints, and different nibs so you can experience how each affects your lettering. After practising with example sheets, you’ll use your new skills to create a personalised wreath sample to take home!
I love teaching all styles of calligraphy, but Modern Calligraphy is wonderfully expressive and much more ‘user friendly’ than classic scripts. It’s perfect for both left and right-handed people — so no excuses, lefties!
I only teach with products that truly help beginners learn. I’ll also bring items you can purchase on the day if you’d like to continue your practice at home.”

• A few pennies if you’d like to purchase nibs or inks on the day
