- **Event Description**: Join us for our 15th annual Christmas on the River event in downtown Hutsonville! 

The event kicks off at 5pm CST. Here’s what you can expect:

In the Community Center:
Our amazing cookie walk where you fill a provided container with home baked goodies for just $5/pound. 

Face painting provided by the HHS art club. 

A drop off spot and letter writing station to send letters to Santa. Be sure to leave your return address for Santa to send a card in December!

The opportunity to purchase tickets for our raffle basket!

A fun Photo Booth provided by 4 the Memories. 

At the Ball Diamond: 

At 5:30PM- Our annual Flashlight Candy Cane hunt. Bring a bag and a flashlight to hunt for all the candy canes you can find! Ages 0-10 are welcome to participate. All 5 and under will be on the infield and everyone else in the grass! 

At Village Hall:

Our first ever Santa Store courtesy of Illinois Birth to Five! Games to enjoy on the lot north of the building where kids earn tickets to then turn into real FREE Christmas gifts! 

In the firehouse: 

Crafts and cookie decorating for the kiddos with assistance provided by the Trailblazers 4-H group!


Outside: 

Music provided by DJ Otto and a bonfire. 

Craft and other vendors. 

Crawford County Jeep Crawlers set up and raffling off some items. 

Food trucks. 

Hot cocoa provided by the Newlin twins in front of Wabash Coffee House. 

A multitude of opportunities for Christmas photos with lights and trees and decorations. 

An ALL NEW scavenger hunt to be done at your own leisure! Pick up papers in the community center!


NOTE:: We have decided to discontinue the lighted parade. But we still welcome everyone to bring their lighted vehicles downtown! 


We will light our big tree at 7PM and Santa then arrives by firetruck to visit with kids in the library! Treat sacks will be provided by the Hutsonville Community Club!
