The Hutchinson Art Center is proud to display the photography of Michael Bracey and film by David and Bobby Obermite during the months of May and June.

This collection of photography and film looks inside the varied lives of those living in the countries of Colombia, Ghana, and Liberia. 

Included are scenes of an Afro-Colombian women's group sitting and sewing tapestries that depict scenes of their villages, which serves as a form of therapy and as a reaction to violence during governmental conflicts. 

Also featured are images of the Wayuu people, who are of a multitude of Indigenous people of Colombia, indigenous life in Ghana, and portraits of people who were child soldiers during the Second Liberian Civil War, who society has de-named ‘Zogos.’

This exhibition will be on display in the Front Gallery from May 23rd - June 20th, 2025.
