Our come and try ocean swimming session is designed to suit a wide range of abilities. As long as you’re able to manage the roughly 15 stairs down to the beach and can swim at least 50 metres, you’re welcome to join us—pace doesn’t matter, whether you’re fast, slow, or somewhere in between. For those who are newer to ocean swimming or less confident, we’ll stay close to our home beach and focus on closely supervised 25m and 50m familiarisation swims in shallow water, no deeper than chest height. More confident and stronger swimmers will have the option to head a little further offshore with our experienced Wobbegongs for a relaxed lap around the bay in front of Huskisson Beach. This swim stays within 400–500 metres of the shore (around 1.3km total), making it a safe and supportive way to enjoy the ocean without it feeling overwhelming.
