About This Event:Help inspire the design of the new Hurstville Library Mural!Join us for a hands-on workshop with artist and illustrator, Freda Chiu to explore what Hurstville means to you! In this 60 minute workshop, Freda will guide participants to create an illustrated postcard using print making and mixed-media techniques, inspired by their connection to Hurstville. The postcards will be displayed in Hurstville Library during its re-opening in February.Participants will also be invited to doodle collaboratively on an illustrated map to show off the suburb’s best loved activities and spaces. Some of the responses will be visually interpreted by Freda into the design of the new mural at the Hurstville Library entrance!This workshop is designed for all ages and abilities and focuses on connection, storytelling and creativity.
