Please register to join the waitlist.In this workshop you'll learn how to build a simple paper circuit and use it to make a card that lights up. We'll start by building and testing the circuit together. From there you'll make an artwork inspired by light, designing around your LED so it becomes part of the piece.In this workshop you'll:Learn how a simple paper circuit worksBuild and test your own circuit with an LED lightDesign and create an artwork for your card around your lightLeave with a finished card that lights upNo experience needed — everything is provided. Adults only.Cost: $8.50Age: Adults 16+Equipment: All materials and equipment will be provided.Disclaimer:WARNING: This craft utilises button batteries and is intended for adults only.KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN AND PETS. Swallowing or placing inside any part of the body can lead to chemical burns, perforation of soft tissue, and death. Severe burns can occur within 2 hours. Seek medical attention immediately if it is suspected that a battery has been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body.About the Facilitator:This workshop is facilitated by local artist Mary-Helen Daly. She is a qualified Transpersonal Art Therapist & Counsellor who helps people become their own creative doorway.Accessibility Information:Georges River Libraries is committed to providing inclusive library services and programs.
