Creative Carlton

Creative Carlton is a free, family friendly event on Saturday 21 March from 1pm to 7pm, transforming Carlton Parade and Short Street into a creative precinct with live performances, interactive workshops, a circus playground and arts activities.

The event will feature a diverse program of live performances on the mainstage, alongside interactive workshops, and a circus playground suitable for all ages. Community performers and local creatives will be at the heart of the program, ensuring strong local representation and broad audience appeal.

A range of food stalls and food trucks will operate throughout the event, supporting local vendors and providing casual dining options for attendees.

In addition to scheduled stage performances, roving performers will animate the streets across the event footprint, adding movement, surprise, and visual impact, while creating a strong sense of energy and place. Face painting and hands-on activities will further enhance the family-friendly atmosphere and encourage participation.

Creative Carlton is funded by the NSW Government through the Open Streets Program 2025 to 2028 by Transport for NSW.
