Unleash your creativity as we explore new techniques, learn about the stories behind the art in the Library’s collections, and have fun making art together.Thursday 6 August | 4pm-5pm | ShapeThis week we look at the element of shape and how simple shapes can be used to make complex drawings. Using animal illustrations from the Library’s collection as inspiration, we will learn the fundamentals of drawing animals.Thursday 20 August | 4pm-5pm | ColourWe will explore the power of colour in this week’s Art Club. Colour is everywhere in the Library’s collection, and we will learn how to be inspired by colour palettes from artworks, objects and photographs for use in our own artworks.Thursday 10 September | 4pm-5pm | TextureOur final Art Club of the term will be all about texture. We will zoom into the Library’s collection to see how simple lines and marks can be used to create furry, feathered or scaley animal textures.
