We will learn some basic winter safety skills as we snowshoe approximately 2 miles to a rustic cabin where we will stay overnight and enjoy the thrill of being unplugged for 24 hours. (There is no electricity at the cabin.) The next morning, we will practice our skills as we snowshoe back to the trailhead. Grab a friend or just plan to meet new friends and get ready for an unforgettable adventure!When: Wednesday, February 18 - Thursday, February 19, from approximately 7:00am-7:00pmWho: Adults, especially women (18+ years old) - No experience necessaryWhere: Big Flat Guard Station in Beaver County, UT. We will meet at the USU Extension Office in Washington County at 7:00 am and carpool to Beaver, where we will stop at Tucker High Adventure Tours to meet our guide and grab our snowshoes. (If you are travelling from somewhere besides Washington County and would like to meet in Beaver, please reach out to Andrea at andrea.schmutz@usu.edu to make arrangements.) We will drive to the trailhead and snowshoe to the Big Flat Guard Station (approximately 2 miles). We will be returning to Washington County around 4:00 pm.
