These include a visit to a local orchard for a demonstration and hands on practice on pruing peach trees and a local tour of some of the horticultural businesses in the area.Requirements:In addition to the classwork, students who wish to become a Certified Master Gardener must provide a minimum of 40 hours of volunteer service. Volunteer opportunities will be identified, but students will be expected to make contacts and perform service on their own. In the past students have developed individual projects or worked at public and community gardens.
