Adult Mentor Rifle Hunt

Step into the outdoors for a weekend of hands-on learning at Buffalo Ridge Refuge. The Adult Mentor Hunt Weekend is designed for adults who are new to hunting or looking to deepen their skills with the guidance of experienced mentors. Over the course of two to three days, participants will learn the fundamentals of ethical hunting, wildlife identification, firearm or archery safety, field dressing, and outdoor stewardship.

Each participant is paired with a seasoned mentor who provides personalized instruction in the field—from scouting and tracking to safe shot placement and post-harvest care.

Preference is given to first time hunters or hunters with limited experience. 19 years or older and Hunter Education is required. The fee for the hunt is $250, lodging is not included. Below is an outline of the weekends agenda.
