- **Event Description**: This is the 2nd of 4 class in a new series from Saint Maud's, in partnership with our friends at LATE RUN COFFEE! If you're a fan of craft and/or caffeine - these are for you. 

Join us for a fun and engaging class introducing the basics of broom making! In this class, we will make a simple hand broom for dusting snow off your shoes and clothes while enjoying a complimentary beverage and homemade Kropsua from LATE RUN COFFEE. The best part is that this broom can be completed during class time. We will talk about materials and discuss the design and concepts of this traditional craft, while utilizing broom brakes created at Saint Mauds, broom corn, and waxed cord. In addition, each participant will receive an illustrated mini zine detailing all the skills you will have hands-on experience learning in class.  For this class, you do not need previous crafting knowledge, though we highly recommend that participants have good hand strength. A successful broom requires firm, consistent tension.  This project may not be suitable for younger children; however, with a parent's assistance, we are happy to accommodate all ages.
