To make the event enjoyable and fair for everyone, we’re offering two divisions for both 1-Dog Skijor and 2-Dog Skijor:
Pro Division
For experienced skijorers and racing teams.
-Suitable for those who have raced before or have previous experience in dryland or snow racing (skijor, bikejor, scooter, etc.).
-Expect a more competitive field.
-Eligible for overall podium recognition.
Rookie Division
For newcomers to the sport or those new to racing.
-Designed for participants and dogs who are just starting out in skijoring or have limited race experience.
-A relaxed, encouraging environment to gain confidence and experience.
-Separate results and recognition from the Pro division.
Podium Rule
Each participant may run multiple dogs, but only their fastest time will count toward podium placements.
All individual runs will still be timed and listed in the full results so everyone can see how each dog performed. However, the official podium and awards will recognize the top three unique mushers (one spot per person).
This ensures a fair competition where everyone has a chance at the podium, while still allowing handlers with multiple dogs to enjoy running them all.
Equipment: all skiers must have a proper belt, quick release, bungee line and harness for their dog(s). Cross country skis only. Downhill skis or other skis with metal edge will NOT be permitted.
