We'll do a super fast setup with everyone's help, sign-in, coffee, refreshments, and start as close to 9am as we can.Conservatives, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), students, environmentalists, and "non-environmentalists", are all especially encouraged to attend!A little more info about our organization:The political moment can feel pretty volatile right now. Between everything happening in the world, a lot can feel out of our control. But one thing isn’t — how we show up in conversations with the people who make decisions.That’s why CCL is training volunteers in these areas:understanding how people form beliefs and what actually motivates them,building communication skills that create trust instead of conflict, andhelping our decisionmakers move step-by-step toward climate leadership instead of expecting big leaps all at once.A lot of groups focus mainly on pressure. Our approach is different — we work to change the conditions that allow lawmakers to act, by making sure climate action feels important, feasible, and politically safe in their world. That’s what keeps doors open and lets real progress keep moving forward, no matter who’s in office.This workshop is hosted by the Huntsville, AL CCL chapter.
