Synopsis
Hetty Feather tells the story of a lively, imaginative, and determined young girl growing up in Victorian England. Abandoned as a baby at London’s Foundling Hospital, Hetty is fostered by a kind family in the countryside, where she experiences freedom, love, and the warmth of a true home. But at age six, Hetty is torn away and returned to the strict and often unforgiving world of the Hospital.

Despite the rules and hardships, Hetty’s fiery spirit cannot be contained. She dreams of running away to join the circus, longs to uncover the truth about her mother, and refuses to settle for a life without adventure. Along the way she discovers friendship, courage, and the power of storytelling to transport her beyond the walls of the Hospital.

Based on Jacqueline Wilson’s beloved novel, this heartwarming and inspiring play captures Hetty’s resilience, humor, and determination to shape her own destiny. Full of imagination, circus-style fun, and heartfelt moments, Hetty Feather is a celebration of hope and belonging for audiences of all ages.
