Microbiology - Level 1

12-hour course (4 days, 3 hours per class)

Discover the fascinating world of bacterial research in this comprehensive biotechnology course! You’ll master essential lab skills, including aseptic techniques, micropipette use, and lab safety, while learning to grow, count, and classify various types of bacteria. Through hands-on experiments, you’ll explore bacterial cell shapes and arrangements, create solutions and media, and develop proficiency in the lab. This immersive experience combines fundamental wet lab techniques with practical microbiology skills, preparing you for advanced biotechnology research and giving you a solid foundation in both laboratory methods and bacterial science.

Dates: October 6-10 (No class on Wednesday, October 8)

Time: 1-4 p.m. every day

Eligibility and Tuition

-Students must be enrolled in 9th - 12th grade when registered.

-No prerequisities required.

-$175 tuition due in full upon registration.
