Running for our first year in 2026, the Stitched with Love Project calls on our senior community and anyone who loves to crochet (and knitting) to create 20x20cm squares. These squares are then lovingly stitched together into beautiful, full-sized blankets by our volunteers. The finished blankets are donated to local organisations and whānau in need, ensuring warmth, comfort, and a touch of aroha stays right here in our community. 
 
If you are interested in helping or want to learn how to stitch our blankets together, please come along. We are open to have children that crochet in the space too. These are relaxed community gatherings where volunteers come together to sew, sort, stitch, and share stories. 
 
Whether you’re a seasoned maker or picking up a needle for the very first time, these sessions are all about connection, creativity, and caring for our community. Free to attend.
