From fresh summer dishes to comforting cooked preparations, you'll discover new ways to make tomatoes the star of your table.

Throughout the workshop, participants will learn about the many varieties of tomatoes grown throughout our region, how to select the best tomatoes at the market, proper storage methods, and how flavor, texture, and use can vary between heirloom, cherry, paste, and slicing tomatoes. We'll also explore the importance of supporting local farmers and seasonal eating.

? Miss Leah, our Registered Dietitian, will discuss the nutritional benefits of tomatoes, including their rich supply of vitamin C, potassium, and lycopene, and share practical ways to incorporate them into healthy meals and snacks.
