Join us on Monday, August 31, 2026, in Carbon & Emery Counties, and alongside communities across the state, as we honor International Overdose Awareness Day. These events seek to increase awareness about substance-related overdose, support people in recovery, provide education and support, and remember loved ones we have lost. ?


The Carbon & Emery County event will be held at Huntington State Park (865 Mohrland Rd, Huntington, UT 84528). 

? Event will include a meal from local favorites Gettin' Our Smoke On and Angel's Craving Food Truck, with meals generously sponsored by the sponsored by Four Corners Community Behavioral Health, Emery County Commission, Southeast Utah Health Department, Desert Edge Christian Church, Castleview Hospital, and other community sponsors, as well as beverages provided by the CARE Coalition and 1Direction Prevention Coalition. 

Create luminaries to commemorate loved ones, add to the remembrance wall, engage in Naloxone education and receive a free kit, visit booths with local information and resources, and much more. ?


? Free transportation is available for attendees thanks to our partners at Carbon Medical Community Health Center! Community members needing a ride to A Light to Remember can meet at the Carbon Medical Community Health Center in Price (92 N 4th E, Price, UT 84501) by 5:15 PM on Monday, August 31, for transportation to and from the event at Huntington State Park. Space is limited to 6 riders and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.


Free and open to the public.
Swag and FREE meals will be provided to the first 150 adult and 100 youth attendees. ?

-- Welcome & Meals Begin at 6:00 PM
-- Ambassadors of Hope Choir to open the event
-- Naloxone Trainings at resource booths throughout the evening
-- Shared Memories with USARA at 7:30 PM
-- Moment of Silence & Luminary Lighting Ceremony at 8:00 PM

The event will conclude at approximately 8:30 PM following clean up.
