winterizing your garden

Advice from experts about winterizing your garden beds has changed over the past 10 years. The traditional practice of debris removal in the fall not only removes problem bugs but also beneficial insects. Depriving soil of organic matter much needed to rejuvenate it for spring. This also exposes the bare soil to accelerated erosion. Club member Terry Smith will share her expertise on the best winterizing practices or agricultural operations, to ensure a healthy garden in the spring.
