Tension is rarely just behaviour.
It shows up in posture, in breathing, in the way the spine moves, and in how the limbs load and unload.
In Quarter Two, we focus on identifying tension early, understanding what it means for your horse’s posture and movement, and learning exactly what to do in the moment to help your horse regulate.
This is not about forcing relaxation.
It’s about building it into the way of going — so your horse becomes stronger, more balanced, and more comfortable in their own body.
You will learn:
• How to spot early signs of physical and emotional tension
• What tension does to spinal function and limb loading
• Practical, repeatable exercises to release tension safely
• How to support nervous system regulation within your training
• How to build relaxation into correct muscle development and soundness
Two Ways to Take Part
1. In-Person Pathway
Bring your horse and attend the live clinics throughout the quarter.
Includes:
• In-person training days
• Stabling and water
• Practical application of the quarter theme
• Supporting educational resources
This option allows you to work directly on your horse’s posture, balance and tension patterns with guided support.

2. Online Pathway
Ideal for those who cannot travel or for international clients.
Includes:
• Full course material covering the quarter topic
