Please join me at Waterbean Poetry Night on NOV 19 when I’ll host terrific featured poet ERIC SBARGE! (Yes, it’s a week early due to Thanksgiving.) Poet Bio: Following grad school & an early Manhattan career in publishing, magazine journalism, & media production, ERIC SBARGE moved to Charlotte in 1994. His writing took a 20-year hiatus after Eric & his wife founded & led The Peaceful Dragon Cultural Center for tai chi, kung fu, Zen meditation, yoga & related arts. In 2016 Eric returned to writing, focusing mainly on poetry. Charlotte Lit Press published his chapbook, I Would Have Left You Everything, in autumn 2023. Following the featured program & a short break for book sales/signings, stick around to enjoy the OPEN MIC! Open Mic Guidelines: Please arrive 6:30–6:45 to sign up in person, as spots are limited & go quickly. No holds. Each open mic reader has up to 5 minutes on stage to share 1–2 poems max.
