- **Event Description**: We started a 5k in honor of my late wife, which is called Sarcoma Sucks 5k. All proceeds go toward clinical trial research at Levine Cancer Center to find better treatments and a cure for sarcoma, which is a rare and aggressive soft tissue cancer. 

The race starts at Harris Road Middle’s bus lot and does an out and back on the neighborhood Greenway for a full 5k course. We will have chip timing and instant results availble for serious runners, but all skill levels and walkers are welcome too. Kids can skate and ride scooters, the event is dog-friendly too. 

Fleet Feet Concord is giving away running shoes to our Top Performers, along with additional prizes from Renew Physical Therapy, Pippa’s Cafe, and more. 

We will have Pertanicious Coffee onsite, pictures by Jamie Irvin Photography, plus a bounce house/slide for the kiddos, yard games, a vendor fair, and much more! 

It’s a fun Run/Walk where we celebrate life, mobility, and the fighting spirit of family we have lost to sarcoma. We have lots of fun signs and supporters along the track cheering everyone on. 

Our inaugural event raised $12k and had 200 people participating! Year 2 looks very promising as well.
