Local author and national "Speaker of Hope," Amber Jewell, will discuss her life as a Kansas foster child who suffered abuse and neglect and how she was ultimately able to find hope in an uplifting and fun presentation.
Along with being an author and speaker, Amber has gone on to become a licensed therapist and adoptive parent. She was able to find hope despite the trials and challenges she faced and now helps others to do so through her writing and speaking events. Her mission is to equip every foster home with a copy of her book, Finding Hope: The 12 Keys to Healing Hardship, Hurt and Sorrow, which is why she donates every 10th book to the foster care system.
