It's Texas Arbor Day, y'all! Nature lovers of all ages are invited to Jones Park for a day of discovery, celebrating one of our most important natural resources - trees! Learn about the importance of our forests and how you can help conserve such a vital, but endangered, ecosystem at our inaugural Forest Fest.
Take pictures with Smokey the Bear with the Texas Forest Service. We'll have some Big Trucks & Tractors, too.
Visitors can enjoy hikes, wildlife presentations, and educational exhibits. Native plants and concession sales will be available from Jesse Jones Park Volunteers. Great for families of all ages, school groups, and Scouts. Three-gallons trees provided by Trees for Houston - pick up a few, and learn how to plant them for success & shade!
Note: Pets will not be allowed in festival areas.
