Join us for Bring Your Green 2026, a festive evening of community, compassion, and fun at The Angelus! Enjoy a traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner followed by an exciting dollar auction, all while helping make Easter extra special for the incredible residents we serve.
Proceeds from this event will provide personalized Easter baskets for every resident, complete with a full Easter outfit and a meaningful activity or treat chosen just for them.
This special night is also an opportunity to raise awareness in our community about The Angelus and the life-changing care provided to adults with developmental disabilities.

What is a dollar auction and how does is work?
A dollar auction is part raffle, part auction, and part fundraiser. It works a bit like bingo. When you arrive, you will be given a numbered paddle as part of your entry fee. This paddle will have a corresponding numbered ball which will be put into the drawing basket. Before the auction begin you will be able to purchase more paddles if you wish.
The Angelus will have items/baskets up for "auction". Once the auction begins, the announcer or one of the helpers will hold up the item that's up for bid and will announce whether the item is a "one dollar" or "two dollar" bid. If you're interested in bidding, you'll put one or two dollars (whatever was announced) for EACH paddle you intend to bid with. So if you have two paddles, want to bid with both to double your chances, and the item is a "one dollar" bid, you'll put $2 in the bucket and raise your paddle(s). If you have two paddles and decide to only bid with one, you only pay $1 BUT you MUST choose only one numbered paddle to bid with. A worker will be walking from table to table with a bucket to collect bids. The announcer will then draw a number to find a winner. If they draw your number and you had bid on the item, hooray! You just won an awesome item at a great price! If they draw your number and you did NOT bid, just call out "no bid!" and they'll continue to draw numbers until they find a winner.
