As regular visitors to major circuit venues and festivals in the UK, Close To Tears are heralded as the ‘next best thing to Tears For Fears;’ endorsed by family of Curt Smith & Roland Orzabal & liked by Curt Smith himself Close To Tears capture the very essence of the 80’s pop sensation, Tears For Fears.
Once the vision was born, ‘to bring to the stage a musically authentic tribute to Tears For Fears’ back in 2015, the band needed to be assembled from the best of the best. Five professional musicians who have performed with: Alison Moyet, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Lillie Alan, Kyle Minogue, Joe Satriani and many more and one semi-professional musicians with more than 60 years of joint experience in the professional setting. Close To Tears is a band which simply explodes from the stage: talent, passion and energy mark Close To Tears above the rest.
